Asset Plan Focus Group (EOI now closed)

Thank you for expressing interest to join our upcoming Asset Plan focus group. Expression of interests have now closed and we have contacted successful applicants via email. The City of Whittlesea invites Expressions of Interest from local residents to join a series of Focus Groups to provide valuable insights to help develop Council’s Asset Plan. Council’s Asset Plan will guide how we manage our large network of assets including roads, footpaths, parks, bridges, sporting fields, playgrounds and buildings for the next 10 years. We manage close to $4 billion of assets providing our community with the infrastructure that they use and need to live, work and play in the City of Whittlesea.

Participation in the Asset Plan Focus Groups will be capped at 90 people and participants will be chosen to reflect the diversity of the City of Whittlesea community. This diversity will include ages, genders, abilities, cultural backgrounds, suburbs, and household structures.

The purpose of the Focus Group is to provide valuable insights to assist Council to shape the Asset Management Plan 2025- 35 that will outline how the City of Whittlesea will plan, build, manage and maintain our assets over the next 10 years to ensure that they meet our growing community’s needs now and into the future.  The plan will cover all of Council’s assets, which includes roads, footpaths, playgrounds, sporting grounds, stormwater, open spaces and buildings. The Focus Group is not a decision-making body of Council.

Focus Group participants will be required to attend one 2-hour session and will receive a participatory $50 gift voucher for their time.

We will be holding a number of identical sessions across the municipality. The session dates and times will be advised as soon as confirmed, but will be held between 20 May and 30 May.

Sessions now confirmed for Monday 20 May @ Civic Centre, Wednesday 22 May @ Galada Community Centre and Tuesday 28 May @ Whittlesea Community Activity Centre. All sessions will be held from 7pm -9pm.
