What is Community Engagement?
Community engagement about Council working together with community. It’s our way of making sure you have a say in Council decisions, helping us build stronger local relationships and a better community for everyone.
We engage community in a variety of ways. These include
- online platform, "Engage Whittlesea" where community can participate in all the projects open for engagement.
- in-person opportunities at pop-up locations relevant to the project
- in-person opportunities at drop in information sessions
- in-person opportunities at registered events such as workshops or community meetings
- deliberative opportunities in Focus Groups or Reference Groups
