Fortress Park is one of City of Whittlesea’s open spaces in Doreen, an established area of the municipality. The park has an area of approximately 4 hectares with an open grassed area, play space, picnic area, half basketball court, exercise station and walking tracks.

We are developing a Landscape Improvement Plan that aims to:

  • Improve park facilities such as the play space, picnic area, fitness stations and walking tracks to meet the needs of our community
  • Improve safety, accessibility and enjoyment of the park.
  • Enhance the overall character of the park to create a more visually appealing environment for residents and visitors
  • Create more opportunities for residents to connect and interact
  • Enhance the park experience with more recreational activities
  • Introduce new, innovative, and inclusive play equipment to improve the quality and variety of play experiences
