Engage City of Whittlesea
There have been many changes since the previous Integrated Transport Plan was prepared in 2014.
Firstly, the community has continued to grow and community priorities have changed. Council’s transport advocacy has also evolved and shifted to keep up with the transport needs of our growing community.
Secondly, the impact of the pandemic, and emerging new technologies, also are having an ongoing and lasting impact on our lifestyles and our transport needs.
Thirdly, traffic congestion and car dependence continues to burden our community with high commute times and social isolation. By creating a direction for other travel choices, including walking and cycling, we may be able to improve quality of life as well as tackle transport emissions.

We are also running a number of pop-up events across the municipality during the consultation period where we would welcome your participation. Details of these can be found on the main page of this site.
We would like to hear from everyone throughout the community. Surveys materials are available in the following languages via our engage page translation tool.
We are also working with various stakeholder groups to encourage participation from harder-to-reach groups, including those from our CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) community.
If you speak a language other than English and need help understanding a Council matter, letter, report, or other correspondence, you can contact Telephone Interpreting Service on 13 14 50. The Telephone Interpreting Service will coordinate a three-way telephone conversation, where Council Customer Service Officers will be able to provide assistance through the interpreter.
The State Government manages public transport services. However, by understanding your needs, Council is in a stronger position to advocate effectively to the State Government for public transport improvements.
We recognise the rich Aboriginal heritage of this country and acknowledge the Wurundjeri Willum Clan and Taungurung People as the Traditional Owners of lands within the City of Whittlesea.

Publicly available information is limited to your username and any comments you leave under that name in the forums or other feedback tools on Engage City of Whittlesea.
Content that you post on the site publicly, will be able to be viewed by everyone who uses the site. Each post will contain your username and any publicly available reports from consultations, and may include quotes from participants in forums, surveys and other consultation tools

The City of Whittlesea owns and retains all proprietary rights in the intellectual property.
