The 6-week consultation period for Lauries Field is now closed.

Thank you to everyone who attended a community pop-up, the information session, sent an email or completed an online survey.

We are pleased that so many people care deeply about their local park and took the time to share their thoughts on the draft master plan.

We heard lots of ideas and suggestions. The following key themes have come through strongly:

• Most people support for the lake to remain in its current form and not to be become an ephemeral wetland
• There is strong support for playground renewal and to maintain the natural aesthetic of the site.

Next steps:

We’re now looking at all the feedback and considering what updates need to be made to the draft masterplan.

Once we have a revised version, you’ll have another chance to share your thoughts before the final plan is presented to Council for endorsement.

A masterplan is a long-term planning document and the delivery of any initiatives in the endorsed plan will be subject to future funding.
