Northern Regional Trails Strategy

The Northern Regional Trails Strategy is focussed on delivering regionally significant trails that connect multiple municipalities and significant places of interest in northern Melbourne.

It provides a blueprint and strategic framework for the future development and maintenance of the recreational off-road trail network, made up of 120 existing and 96 proposed trails located in the northern areas of Melbourne.

The strategy is currently being reviewed to reflect the significant growth and changes in the area over the last five years, taking in to account projects already completed, changing Council priorities and changes on active travel patterns.

The project is a partnership between Whittlesea, Banyule, Darebin, Hume, Moreland and Nillumbik.

Share your thoughts to help inform the updated strategy by Tuesday 31 August.
