Municipal open spaces are approximately 3ha to 7ha in size, have an 800m walking distance and you can spend a few hours to half a day visiting.

Located within walking distance to the suburb, catering to residents and workers in the municipality, and appealing to some in neighbouring municipalities. Generally, these open spaces provide a higher level of facility provision supporting the defined primary use of the reserve.

Nick Ascenzo Reserve, Lalor

This park has an area of 3.5 hectares. Its facilities include netball courts, playground, traverse wall and rebound wall, bocce rink, scout hall, community centre, picnic facilities, barbecue, public toilets, and car parking.


Epping Recreation Reserve, Epping

This park has an area of 9.3 hectares. Its facilities include 2 football and cricket ovals, pavilion and change rooms, floodlights, 6 tennis courts - 2 mod-grass and 4 plexi-pave, electric barbecue, playground, picnic facilities shelter, car parking and 2 public toilet blocks with accessible toilets.


Dr. Harry Jenkins Park, Mill Park

This park has an area of 2.5 hectares. Its facilities include 4 plexi-pave tennis courts - 4 with lights, 2 mod grass, tennis pavilion and change rooms, playground, barbecue walking and access path, picnic facilities and car parking.
