The City of Whittlesea adopted the Proposed Budget at their Council meeting on 6 April 2021.

The Proposed Budget includes $305.9 million to deliver more than 100 community services and invest in essential new infrastructure in 2021-22. This includes a $76.4 million capital works program, with projects to build and upgrade community centers, sporting facilities, playgrounds, roads, bike paths and footpaths across our new and established areas.

The Proposed Budget includes a proposed rate increase of 1.5 per cent, in line with the order by the Minister for Local Government on 22 December 2020 under the Fair Go Rates System.

The Proposed Budget makes provision for one rate rebate (a $120,000 allocation for Sustainable Land Management Rebates).
