With a newly elected Council we now have the opportunity to revisit our vision and check in with our community to ensure it is still relevant, aligned to current community needs and supported.
Whittlesea 2040: a place for all is our long long-term vision for the City of Whittlesea. It guides the work we do and the decisions we make, from daily operations to future partnerships with the community and others.
Community Vision
Five Strategic Goals
The Community Vision is underpinned by five strategic goals, each with a separate strategy that outlines Council’s commitments, the outcomes we strive for and the actions we will deliver for our community.

Development of Vision
The Community Vision was developed through:
- 📋 Community Research
- 🗣️ Extensive community engagement with over 4,000 individuals
- 👥 Engagement of community groups and organisations
- 📝Workshops and surveys with members of the community and Council to identify priorities.
Extensive feedback helped shape the Whittlesea 2040 vision, and all these insights are summarised in our Community Engagement Summary Report.
You can read more information about how we created the vision on our website.
