The walking and cycling path on the Edgars Creek Trail in Thomastown, between Main Street and Thomas Street, is being upgraded.

The works will include the construction of a 400 metre concrete path, which will join the existing path near the Thomas Street Reserve Community Pavilion.

We will also update the landscaping, add a rest area with seating, improve the drainage and install vehicle exclusion fencing for safety.

Work will start in July 2021 and is expected to take up to four weeks to complete. Construction will occur between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

This project is supported by the Victorian Government’s Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning as part of the Northern Metropolitan Trails Program. The program works with local councils to identify and fund off-road cycling and walking recreational trails in northern metropolitan Melbourne.
