Important Update: Finalised Local Area Traffic Management and Streetscape Improvement Plan for your area

The City of Whittlesea recently consulted with the community regarding traffic management and streetscape improvements for your neighbourhood, the area bound by Gordons Road/Jardier Terrace, Plenty Road, Findon Road, and The Lakes Boulevard, South Morang.

We heard your strong desire for improvements in traffic management, safety, and infrastructure to enhance quality of life. Community feedback has informed the further development of the Traffic Management and Streetscape Improvement Plan for this area.

The following amendments/inclusions have been made to the proposed improvements:

• The proposed raised pavement on Bushlark Way has been removed from the plan due to feedback received not being in favour of this road safety treatment.
• Street lighting at existing and proposed road safety treatments will be reviewed and street lighting upgrades undertaken where required.
• Signage and line marking in the vicinity of proposed devices will be reviewed and upgraded where required.

We are excited to inform you that the Local Area Traffic Management and Streetscape Improvement Plan has now been finalised and is attached for your reference.

Work is proposed to commence in the 2024/2025 financial year and will be staged over multiple financial years. Directly affected residents will receive further advice before the commencement of works.
